I know most will not believe it, but using this rifle with the Hornady tipped bullets and a Bushnell scope I sighted in at local range in Texas and was shooting TIGHT 1/4 groups at 100 yeards. That was on a benched sandbag. It was the talk of the day! That was August, and in November I took 2 deer in the mountains of West Virginia with the one being just shy of 300 yards and went down on first shot. The shot was off of a wood fencepost shooting uphill. Something about those Hornady bullets, one has to be carefull as it looked like you hit the deer with a .338 when looking at the damage it did to the deer...that was the only drawback in that it tore up a chunck of the deer! Again, I doubt many will believe me and just maybe I found a pot of gold with this one exceptional rifle in my hands...but wow, what a buy for the price that most pay $2k for a similar ranked performance ]and then not get the performance advertised[.
